About Us

MANCO is dedicated to making a positive impact on society.

The Midwives And Nurses Charity Organization (MANCO) is a non-government organization established by a group dedicated medical workers with a sole objective of providing health care to the needy communities in hard to reach areas of Uganda through medical camps, health education and sensitization. The MANCO has been in active service for three years and proud of four successful medical camps in the district of Rakai. Rakai district was first on agenda because of its challenges in medical services which include few government medical centers, inadequacy of essential drugs in the health facilities and community ignorance in seeking for medical help. Our target is to conduct four medical camps a year in each of the four different regions of the country i.e., northern, southern, east and west.

Health Education and Sensitization

MANCO conducts health education and sensitization programs to inform communities about important health topics. These programs focus on raising awareness about preventive health measures, the importance of seeking medical help, and understanding available health resources.

Medical Treatment

MANCO offers direct medical treatment for various ailments. This includes basic healthcare services such as wound care, management of chronic conditions, and vaccinations. By providing these treatments on-site, MANCO addresses immediate health needs and alleviates the burden on local healthcare systems.

Medical Camps

MANCO organizes medical camps in underserved areas, particularly in the Rakai district. These camps aim to provide essential healthcare services to communities that lack access to proper medical facilities. Each camp typically offers a range of services, including consultations, diagnostics, and treatments for common health issues.
